About Us
Early in 2005, the District 303 administration invited a group of parents to form a steering committee, which we have since named the Gifted and Talented Resource Group.  The purpose of our group is to  provide support and information to District 303 families with gifted and talented children and to advocate for gifted and talented children at the district, state and federal levels. Our email list now includes over 350 families.

We welcome your involvement in this group and hope the information we provide will be useful to you and your family.

Our Logo

We would like to thank Jane Gravelle of Batavia for the design of our logo.  When Jane volunteered to design the logo, we had no idea the amount of effort or creativity she would inject into the process.

The meaning behind the logo can best be described in Jane's own words as follows:

"The symbolism behind it is that we are a mosaic of people working toghether to form one cohesive unit. The tiles represent everyone's individuality, the children within the circle and their parents surrounding them, sort of like a round table of "knights" (parents) watching out for and advocating for our children. The circle also symbolizes never-ending growth, ideas spinning off each other.  The square's four sides represent Children, Parents, Teachers, and Community."

Thanks again Jane!
